Ann Nussey. Qualified and experienced in the Alexander Technique

Ann Nussey

I am an experienced teacher of the Alexander Technique and have been based at Therapies since 2004. Teaching gives me great satisfaction and enjoyment.

Originally I learnt the Alexander Technique in the 1980s because of recurrent neck pain which restricted my life.

I was working in information technology management at the time. Not only did applying the Alexander Technique resolve the pain but it made a big difference to my well being. This inspired me to become a teacher.

I qualified in London with Walter and Dilys Carrington at the oldest established Alexander training centre.

The course is three years fulltime and is regulated by the Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique.

All STAT certified teachers hold professional indemnity insurance and are bound by the Society's published Code of Professional Conduct and Competence.

I believe it is important to keep up-to-date and develop my professional skills. I regularly attend teachers’ courses.

Try it for yourself

There is only so much you can read about the Alexander Technique to try and understand how it can help you.

The only way to really understand its benefits, is to try it out for yourself.

An introductory lesson is all you need to start experiencing the benefits that have helped so many people.

I am a certified member of the Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique (STAT).

STAT was established in 1958 and is the largest internationally recognised representative body for the technique.
